We all know the script. Wake up. Grind. Work harder. Sleep less. Sacrifice everything. Repeat.
We’ve been sold a dream — success at all costs. But what is the cost, really?
We think we are chasing freedom and financial independence — the IDEAL. But somewhere along the way you realise you’ve lost something far more important — one’s self.
“Success with fulfilment is the ultimate failure.” —Tony Robbins
We confuse success for fulfilment and money with happiness.
Every single day; we are dying for something. But for what?
If it’s money: How much is enough?
If it’s status and prestige: Are you living for yourself or everyone else?
If you overwork yourself for too long, the first casualty will be your relationships — and when they are at their worst, your health will join in the downfall.
Only then will you finally realise that not everything in life is about money.
Where I’m from there’s a saying, “No one takes the money with him.”
Reclaiming Quality of Life
If your whole life is about your work, then guess what — you don’t have a life.
But you can start to take it back.
Start Here
Put your health first. Sleep well, eat right, train your body. No success is worth exhaustion and bad health. Cut out the toxicity, from all places. Remember that psychosomaticity is a thing.
Balance life and work. Work is infinite, life is not. Learn to put limits. You can’t postpone living.
Focus on the INNER scorecard, start to repress the external scorecard. Detach from external validation. Live the way you want. Start by doing something you’ve always wanted to do.
Human relationships. Family, friends, humans! Start to have real conversations. Relate to people, develop more empathy. Help someone. Start to come out of your shell.
THE SELF. You lost yourself in the process of striving for an elusive goal. What’s actually more important than the SELF? And I don’t mean that in the narcissistic, self-obsessed way that modern culture mistakes for self worth. I am talking about a deep, unshakeable relationship with yourself — one that stems from personal power and next-level clarity.
Do this and you will see how things start to change.
Lastly, in your path to reclaiming your quality of life, there is something that catalyses the process — journalling.
Start to write what you’re thinking. What are you striving for? What did you achieve today? What are your feeling?
Doing this will catalyse all your self-care activities and multiply their effects.

WHO NEEDS TO HEAR THIS
Forward this article to people who comply with at least one of the behavioural patterns below.
An unresolved painful past made them find solace in their work and in chasing success.
An unhappy present life makes them do the exact same thing.
Their self worth is directly connected to their work. Life is work and life is work.
An inability to stop to breathe and look around.
Postpones vacations, leisure time and self-care things because things keep coming up.
Living only for the future but never for the present.
